NFL WEEK 6 REVIEW

Writer: Travis HerzingTravis Herzing

Well, this is a tad bit late. Our family went to Punta Cana for the week for my mother and father-in-law's 50th wedding anniversary. So, I'm going to make this one a little short and then immediately write Week 7 after. For Week 6, I went back to the well with a Brady stack.

For Week 6, I played on FanDuel. Let's dive in.

Contest: NFL $400K Monster

Buy-In: $555

1st Place Payout: $100,000

Min-Cash: $1,000

Result: 474th Place.

QB: Tom Brady. I'm a die hard Pittsburgh Steeler fan. But, lets be honest, they are not a good football team. I don't believe that Brady is washed just yet. So, my thinking was that Brady was going to torch the Steelers secondary. My thinking was not correct. Brady finished with 243 yards and only 1 TD which was good for 13.72 FD points. That kind of production is not going to win you a tournament. Not to mention, the Steelers beat the Bucs 20-18.

RB1: Eno Benjamin. With James Conner ruled out, the Cardinals had no one to play the majority of the snaps other than Eno Benjamin. I felt like this was a must play in this spot against the Seahawks. This also did not work out, at all. Eno finished with only 37 yards rushing, 28 yards receiving, and 3 catches for 8 FD points.

RB2: Darrell Henderson Jr. This also seemed like a must play with all the talk surrounding Cam Akers wanting to get the hell out of LA. Plus, Henderson did well last year when he got his touches. For whatever reason, even with Akers out, Henderson didn't perform well as he finished the game with 43 yards rushing, 1 TD, and 9 yards receiving for 12.2 FD points.

WR1: Mike Evans. As you could assume, Evans was part of my Brady stack. And since the Bucs laid an egg in Pittsburgh, Evans did not perform like he usually does. He hauled in just 4 catches for 42 yards, good for 6.2 FD points. Terrible.

WR2: Chris Godwin. The 2nd part of the stack was Mr. Godwin. He had a much better game that Evans but without a touchdown, the performance wasn't good enough to get excited about. Godwin had 6 catches for 95 yards and 12.5 FD points.

WR3: George Pickens. I know I don't have to keep saying this every week but I'll say it one more time. When you stack a team, you need a bring back from the other team. My bring back this week was Pickens. I love this guy. I think he's going to be a big problem for teams later on down the road but this week wasn't it. Kenny Pickett loves this guy but Pickett left the game with a concussion and Mitch Trubisky just doesn't throw it to him. Pickens ended the game with 3 catches for a weak 27 yards and 4.3 FD points.

TE: Travis Kelce. This guy is the best TE in the NFL and arguably the best TE of all time. Or at least he will be when his career is over. In such a high powered offense with Patrick Mahomes, Kelce will always get his. Kelce ended this week with 8 catches for 108 yards. 15.2 FD points is fine for a TE but without a TD, it doesn't make you feel good.

FLEX: Stefon Diggs. Josh Allen just funnels passes to this guy. Rightfully so. This was the only player on my team this week that did very well. Diggs had 10 catches for 148 yards and a TD which was good for 25.8 FD points. Smash.

DEFENSE: Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons defense was the only defense I could fit in this week. There was no reason for the pick at all. Atlanta did well though. 1 defensive TD, 2 INT's, and 1 forced fumble got me 13 FD points. That's huge for a defense. Smash.

Results: 474th place out of 800 for $0.

This week was a pretty awful week for DFS. I ended with 110.92 points and no cash. A min-cash needed 131.46. We weren't ever really close this week. It's a week to forget.

Best Finish: 10th (Week 2)

Worst Finish: 151st (Week 1) This week doesn't count toward the "worst finish" category as I played a different tournament with 800 people for a chance at $100,000.
