Week 11-13 (8-7)

It's been a little while. My apologies for the lack of posts as things got busy with Thanksgiving and the Christmas season starting to ramp up. I wanted to update you all on my Circa Million journey so I decided to do a quick recap for Weeks 11 through 13 in one post. Here are my picks and record for the past 3 weeks:

Week 11 (3-2)

Colts +6.5

This was the game where the Colts were hosting the Eagles as they were coming off their first loss of the season. One of all time favorite angle plays is when a team starts undefeated and loses, bet against them in their next game out. The thought is there's going to be a letdown after the undefeated season was lost. This can also be said after a lot winning streak that a team has. It's a universal angle, works in multiple sports and you want the team in the NFL to start at least like 6-0 or 7-0 and the longer the better. Here the Eagles started 8-0 and nearly lost to the Colts in this one for an easy underdog cover.

Texans +3.5

Texans are the worst

Rams +3.0

Chargers +5.5

Cowboys -1.5

This was a slam dunk play. Cowboys ended up winning by 37 LOL.

Week 12 (2-3)

Titans +1.5

Titans were covering all game except for in the 4th quarter as they lost by 4 at home. Derrick Henry only 17 carries...not good enough Vrabel.

Jets -4.5

Mike White SZN. Easy money.

Cardinals +4.5

This was a good spot. You know how I feel when the Raiders are laying too many points. Cards at home, ended up being a 1-point game. Easy money.

Saints +9.5

UGH. This game had me triggered. Cost me another 3-2 winning week. Saints lost 13-0 in SF. They just needed one TD. The Saints had about 16 chances in the red zone, two inside the 10 late in the game. Turnover on downs, Kamara fumbles at the one yard line as he's about to score, dropped passes in the end zone. BRUTAL.

Colts -2.5

I went back to the Colts one too many times. At home against the Steelers on MNF against a rookie QB, I thought the Colts would be able to run and control the clock and was laying less than a FG, thought it was a good spot but the Steelers were too strong on the road.

Week 12 was my first losing week since Week 8.

Week 13 (3-2)

Commanders -2.5

They tie the Giants in OT. Really? Blah.

Texans +7.0

I have to quit taking these bums. Lot of variables in this one. Watson first game back in like 700+ days, on road, against former team. Watson was terrible like I assumed he'd be, but the Browns get TWO defensive scores and a punt return for a TD to cover by 13. Grrrrr, that is so annoying.

Raiders -1.0

I knew there was no chance the Chargers win or cover that game, Raiders win by 7.

Bengals +2.0

It's a thing now. Burrow owns Mahomes. I loved this spot for the Bengals at home against the Chiefs and getting two points. Bengals win a good game.

Saints +3.5

Saints blew the game, but 3.5 was money against Brady and the Bucs. Saints D just know how to frustrate Brady. This was an easy one to pick.

After three weeks of 3-2, 2-3 and 3-2, my overall record is:

Season: 31-30-4 (50.8%)

I just can't seem to get ahead and get that 4-1 or undefeated week. Week 14 starts the last quarter of the season so season prizes (need about 62-64% to cash) are looking bleak, but lets get hot and win a quarter and make it interesting!
